The AST 2 is a high-performance tug for aircraft up to 300 tons. A complex mechanism lifts them at the nose wheel so that they are moved safely and precisely with optimum load distribution. With the 180° rotating control console, the operator always sits facing the direction of travel, while the generously glazed lift cab provides him with the best possible overview. The ergonomics of the operator’s terminal with its intuitive interface design are exemplary. The modular design makes it possible to generate further versions of the special vehicle with high recognition value at low cost, despite small series. Intelligent material mix makes the Ast 2 90% recyclable.
